Methodology
Every state page is built from a single structured record. Each record stores the official URL it was taken from and a last verified date that is displayed on the page.
Sources
Only official state government pages (Secretary of State, Secretary of the Commonwealth, Lieutenant Governor, or Department of State, depending on the state). We do not copy data from commercial apostille services or other directories.
What we record
- Fee per document and any fee notes stated by the office
- Processing time as quoted by the office (excluding shipping)
- Methods: mail, walk-in, online, expedited
- Addresses, phone, email, accepted payment methods
- Notarization / county certification requirements
When something is missing
If the official page does not state a value, we show "not stated" rather than guessing. Editor's notes explain ambiguities.
Corrections
Found an outdated fee? Email info@apostia.com with the official link and we will update the record and the verification date.
