Notarización o certificación previaVital records and court/recorded documents are never notarized; they must be official certified copies with the issuing official's signature and seal. Notarized documents must be notarized under Georgia law: the notary must include the exact date of notarization on the notarial certificate, sign by hand in ink matching the commission name, and apply a clear seal showing name, commissioning county, "Notary Public" and the state. Photocopies are not accepted unless a Georgia notary certifies them as copies. No county certification is needed before an apostille.

Nota del editor

GSCCCA is a .org (state authority created by the Georgia legislature), not a .gov domain. Walk-in accepts cash, check (pre-printed name/address), money order, credit card or pre-payment voucher; mail-in accepts check, money order or pre-payment voucher (credit cards not listed for mail-in; voucher is purchased online). Mail-in needs a cover letter with destination country and contact info plus a prepaid return envelope or computer-generated airbill (handwritten airbills not accepted). GSCCCA cannot apostille out-of-state, federal or foreign-issued documents, or documents for non-Hague countries.
